The Crestview Alumni Association is proud to announce that the 7th annual Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on May 21st at 5:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Crestview Performing Arts Center. Following the banquet the induction ceremony for Mr. Andris Baltputnis and Mrs. Alisha (Bable) Auer will be held in the Performing Arts Auditorium.

Alisha Auer is a 1995 graduate of Crestview High School. As a student athlete at Crestview, Alisha excelled in volleyball, basketball and softball, earning all-state recognition for three years in basketball and was a 1st team all-Ohio selection for two years in volleyball. In addition to her outstanding athletic accomplishments, Alisha graduated as valedictorian and was an active member of the National Honor Society, Math Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Following graduation, Alisha enrolled at Marshall University where she played volleyball. Alisha was named team captain and was also named to the All-MAC team and the MAC All- Academic Team. In her senior year Alisha transferred to Cleveland State University where she was also named all-conference and team MVP. Alisha graduated from Cleveland State with a degree in Communications and is currently teaching and coaching at Crestview High School.

Andris Baltputnis is a long time Crestview educator. During his 44 year tenure at Crestview, Andris has served as a teacher, coach, athletic director and assistant principal. Andris received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the Ohio State University in 1968 and was hired by the Fairfield-Waterford School district, thus beginning his long tenure with Crestview Schools. With 32 years as a teacher, Andris taught Chemistry, Physics, German and computer programming. He also served as a coach for track, basketball, football and golf. During the last 12 years of his career at Crestview, Andris served as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. Andris continues to be active in athletics today volunteering as the voice of the Rebels, as well as announcer for many track meets including the Jesse Owens meet at Ohio State and the Midwest Meet of Champions. Andris was named the Ohio Track Official of the Year in 2007.

In addition to inducting these two outstanding individuals into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame, the alumni will be honoring the class of 1966 on their 50th anniversary of their graduation from Crestview High School. The Alumni Association would like to extend a very special invitation to all members of the Class of 1966 to attend the Hall of Fame banquet and the induction program. The Class of 1966 will also be recognized during the high school commencement ceremonies on May 29th at 2:00 p.m.

The Alumni Hall of Fame Banquet is the highlight of our Alumni year. In addition to the induction program and the recognition of the Class of 1966, the alumni will be presenting scholarships to the members of the Class of 2016. The Alumni Hall of Fame Banquet is open to all Crestview, Fairfield and New Waterford graduates. I would like to encourage you to join us in recognition of these outstanding individuals and to celebrate the history of our school district.
